Public Presentation of the Key Results of the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts and Partners of Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Project – e-Invoicing for Croatian Public Authorities

The Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, as the CEF Telecom Coordinator and Project Coordinator, organized a public presentation of the key results of CEF project "e-INVOICING for Croatian Public Authorities" (eICPA) CEF Action No. 2016-HR-IA-0090 on 18 September 2018.

The objective of the project of the Partners consortium IN2, FINA, Zagreb County, Bjelovar-Bilogora County, Istria County, Kamanje Municipality, Petrijanec Municipality, Water and Waste Management Split and The Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, is aimed at promoting and accelerating the application of e-Invoking in the Republic of Croatia between public authorities, public and private companies, by improving the existing technical and organizational environment for the exchange of electronic invoices.

On this occasion Partners in the consortium presented their work on the project and the key results they achieved, as well as the e-Invoice and the significance of its introduction into public procurement procedures in the Republic of Croatia.

Future legislative framework for the exchange of e-Invoices in public procurement, e-Invoice exchange model for Croatia, information on the European standard for e-Invoicing, and important items for information intermediaries and other participants in the public procurement process were also presented.

Participants also had the opportunity to see the CEF Telecom program, thus far completed and submitted projects (e-Invoicing, e-Delivery, e-Procurement, Cyber ​​Security) and building blocks of CEF Telecom (such as e-Identification, e-Authentication, e-Delivery, e-Invoicing, Automated Translation and Cyber-Security).

The workshop was successful, with 42 participants who learned directly from Partners consortium about e-Invoicing exchange, its applications and the benefits it can bring, and about the immediate experience of using e-Invoicing and project implementation in the CEF Telekom program. The participants were also introduced to the possibilities of the CEF program and of the awarded tenders for EU funds for using technology in a way that enables more competitive and secure digital economy, with special emphasis on future projects to be implemented by the Ministry.
